0wn4g32u decided that it was important to tell us "lol...this is lame." As a follow-up to that, Sammycute1's response was "wow:("

Where do you think this player-hating is coming from? Are these people intimidated by individuality, raw singing ability, and spirit? It's certainly possible.

Here's a great Girl Singing Unwritten video. But some people just can't keep from running their mouth! I guess it's easy to hide behind the anonymity of the internet. After this great GSU video was posted, Misszla93 said "it's not very good :(" ...erinharris799 went a little further, offering this to the conversation: "YOU SUCK!"

I guess some people are just jealous. I'd like to see THEM sing unwritten, tape it, and put it up on youtube.

First of all, let me just begin this entry by saying thanks to all of you. Just hours after the launch of Girls Singing Unwritten, the response has been palpable. If there's one thing I may have underestimated, it's the public's hunger and desire for a one-stop, easy-access, unfiltered web site about GSUs. "More, more!" you've been saying. Well I'm here to tell you that I've heard your cry and am happy to oblige.

That said, here's a solid GSU video to help:

Alright. Now, if there's one question I get more often than "when can we expect more GSUs on Girls Singing Unwritten?" it's "What does it take to become a GSU?" Well, as something of an expert on this topic, I can tell you that you don't need much, but while there are few requirements, they are each imperative.

1. You need a video camera. How can you put a video of yourself singing "Unwritten" on youtube without one? You can't. Could you in fact be a GSU without one? Well, perhaps technically, but how would anyone know about it? One of the implicit requirements to becoming a real GSU is the willingness and ability to put video evidence of it on youtube. So you totally should use one. I really can't stress this enough: you need a video camera.

2. You need a little bit of spunk. It also helps if you like to sometimes dress cute, or let people know that you're an individual.

3. A copy of the song. This can be either in tape, cd, vinyl, or mp3 form. Use what works best for you!

4. The ability and/or willingness to release your inhibitions. Feel the rain on your skin! You've got to have the wherewithal to recognize that TODAY is where your book begins. Reach for the stars, and go for it!

See? Almost anyone can be a GSU. You don't even need to be a girl! Guys, don't be afraid of feeling the rain on your skin as well.

"Unwritten" is a single from English singer Natasha Bedingfield, co-written by her, Danielle Brisebois and Wayne Rodrigues. The song appears on her debut album, which is also named Unwritten. It was released as her third single in the United Kingdom in November 2004, and as her second single in the United States in 2006, the song proved to be a big hit for the singer in the U.S., as it climbed slowly on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, eventually reaching #5 for two weeks (becoming her second Top 20 hit and first Top 10 hit in the country).

As of March 2006, "Unwritten" was certified platinum in the U.S., making it one of the best selling digital tracks (and one of very few singles to sell in excess of a million copies) to date.

Unwritten was also the most played song on US radio during 2006 as confirmed before her performance at the Diana concert.

The song also proved to be very popular in other radio formats in the United States. The Johnny Vicious and Hani Club Mixes peaked at #1 on the Dance Club Play and #2 on the Dance Radio Airplay chart, while the original version went to #2 on the Adult Top 40 and spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. This song is also used as the theme song for MTV's reality show The Hills.

This song's lyrics encourage listeners to reach for their dreams and have a life full of adventures.

It was also used in spots that announce the relaunch of Pantene in the United States and throughout Western Europe, including the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy and Spain, where it's the first single from N.B., and has reached #1 in the Spanish iTunes chart, in the Airplay chart and in los 40 chart, in 2007.
